01
Locate the access
We find your cleanout, pull the cap, and check the flow. If the line is backed up, we clear enough with a drain snake to get the camera through. Most Carrollton homes have a two-way cleanout near the foundation or at the property line, and we confirm which direction runs to the city main.
02
Run the camera
A sewer camera on a stiff reel goes in with the pipe inspection crawler head leading. We push to the city tap, watching live on a 7-inch monitor. Distance readings log every defect in feet from the access point, so nothing gets described as 'somewhere out there'.
03
Record the defects
Root intrusion at a joint, cracked cast iron pipe, a belly holding standing water, or a separated coupling all get marked and recorded. We note pipe material, diameter, and depth. On a typical 4-inch lateral, the run takes 20 to 40 minutes depending on how many turns and offsets the camera has to pass.
04
Walk you through it
You see the footage on the spot. We point out what is normal wear and what needs action now, then rank repairs by urgency. If hydro jetting clears the root mass and the pipe is otherwise sound, that is the whole recommendation. No upsell on a line that does not need one.
05
Send the report
You get the video file and a written summary the same day, which matters when a real estate deadline is running. The report lists footage markers, pipe material, defect types, and a repair range. Realtors and buyers use it directly in negotiations.
